1. SFU ONU deployment
The advantages of this deployment mode are that the network resources are relatively rich, and it is applicable to independent households in FTTH scenarios. It can ensure that users have broadband access, but it does not involve complex home gateway functions. The SFU in this environment has two common modes: provides both Ethernet ports and POTS ports. Provides only Ethernet interfaces. It should be noted that SFU in both modes can provide coaxial cable functions to facilitate CATV services, and can also be used together with a home gateway to facilitate value-added services. This scenario is also applicable to enterprises that do not require TDM data exchange.
2. HGU ONU deployment
The HGU ONU deployment policy is similar to that of the SFU ONU, except that the ONU and RG are integrated. Compared with SFU, it can realize more complex control and management functions. In this deployment scenario, U-shaped interfaces are built into physical devices and do not provide interfaces. If xDSLRG devices are required, multi-type interfaces can be directly connected to the home network, which is equivalent to a home gateway with EPON uplink interface and is mainly used in FTTH.
3. SBU ONU deployment
This deployment scheme is more suitable for independent enterprise users to build networks in FTTO application mode, and is based on enterprise changes in SFU and HGU deployment scenarios. The network in this deployment environment supports broadband access terminals and provides users with various data interfaces, including El interfaces, Ethernet interfaces, and POTS interfaces, to meet enterprise requirements for data communication, voice communication, and TDM dedicated lines. The U-shaped interface in the environment can provide the enterprise with frame structure with various attributes, which is more powerful.
4. Deploy an MDU ONU
This deployment solution applies to multi-user networks in multi-application modes such as FTTC, FTTN, FTTCab, and FTTZ. If enterprise users do not require TDM services, you can use this solution to deploy EPON networks. This deployment solution provides broadband data communication services for multiple users, including Ethernet /IP services, VoIP services, and CATV services, and has powerful data transmission capabilities. Each communication port can correspond to a network user, so its network utilization is higher.
5. Deploy an MTU ONU
This solution is a commercial change based on the MDU solution. It can provide multiple enterprise users with multiple interface services, including Ethernet interfaces and POTS interfaces, and meet the voice, data, and TDM dedicated line service requirements of enterprises. Richer and more powerful business functions can be achieved by combining the slot-like implementation structure.
